Done! At least for now..

Well,

Seeing as how Gareth is done with school, I feel it’s only appropriate to express my own pleasure at the fact that I’m done too. Unlike Gareth, however, I’m not done completely, since summer school will start in a few weeks. Neverthless, it’s good to know that I can relax for a little while.

In other news, I am working on getting a few things setup (see the last two entries). Another more painful and daunting task is converting [a certain translation company]’s site to pure xhtml/css. So far the main page’s size has been reduced from 12k to about 7k, and is now much more accessible. The problem is that although text resizing now works, it’s a somewhat lost cause because the graphics are a fixed size and so the navigation breaks if you increase font size. It’s still usable, but not ideal. Then again, since the default font size is now larger than the previous version of the site, it’s still an improvement.

Anyhow, enough ranting. Expect some photos from this weekend. illusioned.org is now back in full force, baby!

Woo! Congratulations to you too! =D

I’m not done completely, either as I have exams in a few weeks. But, as you say, it’s nice to relax for a short while.

Re: Scalable graphics… go the XML way and use Scalable Vector Graphics! Although I guess the problem is that most browsers don’t have built-in plug-ins for this format yet =\

I’m anxiously awaiting news on this big project of yours…!

Yeah, I’ve read about SVG too…looks promising. In the meantime, I’ve seen some pages using a combination of Flash and Javascript to achieve a similar effect…not XML driven, but nice looking nevertheless..
