That's a colour: "a blue pigment prepared by powdering lapis lazuli"... "a similar pigment prepared from kaolin, soda ash, sulfur, and charcoal". Or in adjectival form, "situated beyond the sea". Lemme figure this out. I see the word "ash" above, which reminds me of Ashy Larry from Dave Chapelle Show. Now, Ashy Larry is black. We can only assume what is meant by "nigritude", and I for one, don't like it. "Beyond the sea"... well, if I am stading in West Africa, the USA seems pretty "beyond the sea" to me. "Nigritude" + "Ash" + "Beyond the sea"... someone wants to bring back slavery. ERGO, the Internet and Search Engine Optimization have now completely justified reparations.
