It’s 3am. You have to stay awake for an incoming project for work. You discovered the end of the internet a long time ago and can’t think of any web pages that you haven’t been to within the last 30 minutes that you’d like to visit. There’s nothing on TV save for boring infomercials. No one’s at home…
What do you do?
Dig up the old vinyl collection? Exactly…
In my days when I aspired to become a world-class DJ, I would purchase vinyls on a regular basis (sometimes paying as much as $10 for an import..). It was an expensive hobby, but a fulfilling one.
Two years later, my DJ dreams have been reduced to a stack of vinyls collecting dust. I thought I’d take a look at what I used to listen to, and I was pleasantly surprised at the number of old tracks that I had such fond memories of.
So with the record player hooked up right now, I’m listening to M.U.T.E. - Missed Beat (Hiver & Hammer Mix)…coming up next on the B side is the Dumonde remix which is, as they say in the business, massive.
Take the time to rediscover your old favorites. Reminiscing isn’t lame. It’s cool. Really!
