The summer so far has been very relaxing. At the same time, it’s also made me extremely lazy.
For those that know my usual schedule, on any given day I could be sleeping or doing absolutely nothing for 70% of the normal day. It’s sad, but true. I have no job, responsibilities, or children. So what am I to do?
By last week I was fed up and decided to make a change. I promised myself I’d do some sort of exercise at least five days of the week.
So on Monday, I went to the gym. No big deal, the usual stuff.
Tuesday, I ran at Oyster Creek Park by my house. I almost died in the process because of the excessive heat, but I managed to make it.
Wednesday - Gym again.
Thursday - I ran at Memorial Park. It was very hot and I had to stop a few times, but overall I would say it went well.
Friday - Gym.
Saturday - I ran again at Oyster Creek Park.
If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that I actually ended up exceeding my goal. I was productive on 6 days! This is the most exercise activity I’ve ever done in one week, so I have to say I’m happy.
Also, I’ve been waking up early. I feel guilty now getting up anytime past noon. Scary, but true. There are still the occasional afternoon naps, but there’s nothing wrong with that.
For those wondering, this post is more for date keeping then anything else…
