Whew.
I’ve really been pushing this fitness thing for a little over a month now. When Gareth came, there was a short lapse (although we did run a couple of times) but I’m back on track.
Today at the gym, on the treadmill, I managed to run 5 miles without stopping once..and burned 800 calories in the process. That’s the most I’ve ever run at one time, and is almost twice of what I used to run.
In addition, I’ve been watching what I’ve been eating and have limited myself to 1 (yes, one!) soft drink a day.
Too bad that I’m leaving for Europe on Friday and all my hard work will become pointless. Even if I do get a chance to work out while I’m there, I always find myself disappointed with the food options. I like to eat four or five times a day, and that doesn’t seem to be the way most people (in general, not just in Europe) function. I end up having one or two big meals – which is bad. Also, with the exception of my time in France, the food has generally sucked.
In other news, I’ve posted two new albums in the gallery:
- Graduation
- Ferry Corsten Live At M Bar
- I know I promised to post photos from the Max Graham set. I looked at them today though, and none of them were really worth posting. Just a bunch of fog-filled images.
I also suggest you check out Lina’s photo gallery. Make sure to view Gareth at Krazy Katz, which is not to be confused with Brian Kelley’s Krazy Night at Katz, or, the newest addition, Jacques Eats .

Ah, but how large is that “one” soft drink? I bet you go for that “2-pints-for-52 cents” deal, don’t you?!?
As for the 5 miles… wow! well done. I can’t run long distances on treadmills… it gets so boring even after just 15 minutes. Oh well.
yeah, long distances on treadmills suck. I can’t do em either. Or is that because I get tired after 20 seconds…I wonder.
I used to get bored of treadmills as well. Unfortunately, it was raining yesterday so running outside was not an option. Also, it’s much easier to run inside on the treadmill than outside on the concrete at Oyster Creek Park.
