England And More

So I’ve been in England since the 23rd. Five days later, and I’ve gathered quite a few experiences.

Among the many activities that have occured in the last five days are:

  • Walking approximately 10 miles on two trails exploring the sights and sounds of the Peak District
  • Hanging out with Gareth’s family in Bakewell, a small village in the Peak District
  • Eating Bakewell pudding, a local specialty
  • Watching cows get auctioned off on at a local market
  • Drinking Hoegaarden 40’s and pouring some for the “homies that couldn’t make it”
  • Multiple visits to Tesco (an average of two per day in Birmingham), including one in which Gareth and I attempted to cut through but ended up finding out that the doors we wanted to use as an exit were closed
  • Celebrating Hanne’s birthday at a Spanish tapas restaurant, followed by another visit at Tesco and some more Hoegaarden 40s
  • Sprinting from the restaurant to Tesco thinking that it was about to close when in fact Tesco does not close until midnight on weekdays

And much much more… on Saturday, Gareth, Hanne, and I will be departing for Holland. From there, Gareth and Hanne will stay until Monday evening. Hopefully, we intend on meeting up with Ferdinand as well.

The weekend after that (August 5-7), Gareth will be coming back to Holland to go to Dance Valley, a two day festival that will involve some camping on-site. Should be lots of fun..
