Today I shipped off my first Mac machine, a 15″ Apple PowerBook G4 1 Ghz, to a lucky eBayer in Austin. I was surprised at how much the PowerBook sold for, but I guess the detailed description, 20+ pics, and the fact that it was still under warranty may have had something to do with the purchase price.
I’m happy to have found a new home for the PowerBook. From what I can tell, the new owner seems pretty enthused about getting the machine, and it will probably be there tomorrow. I have a little more desk space now too; two laptops and one desktop in the corner of my room was beginning to get a bit excessive. I rarely use my desktop; I should probably get rid of that and buy a Mac mini instead. Unfortunately, there are some financial issues that prevent such a purchase.
So what else has been going on? It’s the end of the semester, and I have a few papers due in my classes. Other than that, it’s been mostly quiet. I’m still spending all day at school, but at least I’ve grown accustomed to the fact that everything will not be easy as it was in undergraduate. I’m looking forward to summer, although I’m not completely sure if I will be able to go on a trip. After 6 or 7 years (I forget exactly) of going to Europe every year, it will be very hard to stay in Houston and not travel. Hopefully that won’t be the case.

Come to Europe! You can’t break such a long-standing tradition…
