Internet-less

Wow.

I remember reading on someone’s email signature before that you never realize what you have until it’s gone. For me, the last nine days have been very eye opening. On May 31st, for a reason that is unknown and has not yet been clarified, my internet stopped working. The weather had been bad in the area for a couple of days so I thought it might be a local outage that would be repaired shortly. A couple of days later, I still had no internet. I called the useless customer service people at Time Warner, and they weren’t able to get someone out until today.

I didn’t think being without the internet would be a big deal, but without it, my house is unbearably boring. I don’t watch TV, and so there’s not much else to do here. I have a routine that I’ve mastered when it comes to my daily web site visits. To not be able to check my email and other things while being at home has been nothing short of frustrating. I’m excited to have it back, though.

There is much catching up to do…How on earth did people live without the Internet before?

In other news - the World Cup begins in ten hours…..GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!
